TWO SESSIONS, WEDNESDAYS ONLY:
6.30 – 7.15pm (45 minutes): Non-swimmers to Pre-competitive
7.15 – 8.00pm (45 minutes): Non-swimmers; Beginners; Plus
Early Improvers to Pre-competitive
Whilst teaching the four major strokes and a variety of skills, we emphasize techniques and water safety which will help to develop individual and group watermanship.
Lessons are differentiated within each group where necessary in order to relate to individual levels of understanding and ability.
Our programme includes awards from the ASA Learn to Swim scheme, together with awards from the STA, plus ASA Water Skills, and some Club certificates. We also encourage supervised, personal & group experimentation with skills such as discovering their own level of buoyancy, floatation, sculling, etc. This ensures that all children are very secure in their knowledge and understanding of techniques and skills.
Our junior members are able to continue to swim in the Junior session (and pay the junior session fees) until the end of the calendar year in which their 16th birthday falls, after which he/she must transfer to the senior session (if they so wish).
2019 Annual Junior Membership Fees £32.00
These are payable by ALL members of the Club, and are due the first week of January or on joining. They include compulsory registration with Swim England (National, Regional and County) which includes very comprehensive insurance cover. Also included are small amounts for other essential Club expenses, membership of the RLSS UK and a small element as a member of our Club.
Fees are subject to change from time to time, as deemed necessary by the Committee in order for the Club to remain viable, although we hope that the fees set for January in each year will take into account any other increases which might become payable by the Club.
